This year’s European Championships in Stationary Wave Riding are over and we’re proud to announce the winners! The action in the finals was electric, but in the end Tao Schirrmacher walked away with the win for the third time. Here are the results for the men, women, masters and groms divisions.

Surf & Style 2015: ‎European Championships in Stationary Wave Riding

We can’t imagine a more diverse urban surfing event than this one: over 130 riders from 14 nations will battle it out at the 5th European Championship in Stationary Wave Riding from August 14 – 16. Who’s gonna be the next European Champion after Lukas Brunner? We teamed up with NU.ART surfstuff to keep you posted and bring to you the freshest news on the comp straight into your living room.

This year the Citywave is higher, bigger and more powerful than ever before. These excellent conditions create the ideal setting for Europe’s river surfing elite to showcase pro-level river surfing and compete for a total prize money of 10,000 EUR.

Surf & Style — Qualifying

This year the Surf & Style European Championships in Stationary Wave Riding have experienced an enormous boost in popularity. With more than 120 registered surfers qualifying rounds on Friday were the only way to handle the run.

The qualifying was organised in several heats of six surfers and only the very best of all heats got the chance to compete tomorrow, Saturday. Tomorrow heats will start at 7:30 am. As soon as the heat list are out, you will find them in our Live Ticker.

2013 European Championship in Stationary Wave Riding

For the 3rd time, Europe’s best river surfers will be ripping the stationary wave at Munich Airport. Be there or be squared!

This year the European Championship in Stationary Wave Riding will be held from 10 to 11 August. As in the previous years, the event will take place at Munich Airport on an artificial wave — this year even bigger: 10m wide, up to 1.5m high, strong and glassy. Local heroes and international top riders will partake in the competition, showing off their talent to convince the jury. In the finals, the best surfers will take to the waves for a chance to win € 10,000 in prize money. The European Championship is the highlight of the Surf & Style 2013, running 31 July to 25 August 2013.
