]]> The wait is over, the surf is on! The long awaited Silz wave (Crazy Eddy) will open this Saturday with a big bang at the river Inn in Silz. If you want to get your feet on the new wave, be there at noon.

Tyrol’s top riders and Europe’s best river surfers — Gerry Schlegel and Tao Schirrmacher — are already waiting in the wings, ready to see what they can get out of the wave.

Six DJs will be spinning the decks until 8 pm at the former Crazy Eddy beach, before the party moves on to the AREA Riverhaus. Area 47 is aiming high: Upon completion in 2014, the wave will be some 45 metres wide, making it the biggest of its kind in Europe. The current width of the wave is approximately 15 metres.
