			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This wide, steep and glassy river wave is located in the Bend Whitewater Park at the Deschutes River. There are four waves in the park with Green Wave (or Wave #3) being best suited for shortboard river surfing. The wave features a hydraulic adjustment by 26 underwater steel plates when flow is on or off. The wave park is open 5:00 am to 10:00 pm daily and there is no fee for access.<br />

<p>Flow range: 200 to 1,000+ cfs  (5 to 30 cms)<br />
The ideal flow is right around or below 1,000 cfs and the wave gets steep and full green shoulder to shoulder<br />

<h4>Dangers</h4>
<p>Helmets (especially when water drops below 900 CFS) and PFDs are recommended.<br />
Be careful when using leashes, they can get caught on underwater objects. If you wear a leash, make sure it has a quick release.</p>

At good levels Trestle Wave becomes big V-wave with a tongue in the middle which sometimes greens out. In order to surf this wave (officially) you will need a river access pass. If you&#8217;re keen to stay longer: about 10 km upstream on the Deschutes (river right) you&#8217;ll find several small official camping sites.</p>
