The Glenwood Whitewater Park, located in Glenwood Springs (Colorado), is the first man-made whitewater feature built on the entire length of the Colorado River. The whitewater park was constructed in West Glenwood in March 2008, immediately upstream of the Midland Ave Bridge. The feature, designed and built by Jason Carey, consists of a hole on river left, and a smaller standing wave on river right. At high water levels, the feature blends to form one wide surfable river wave. The waves are also called “The Glove” and “The Right”. You can even check the wave out live at http://www.coloradowebcam.net.
