It’s not uncommon that riversurfing tricks are inspired by skateboarding tricks. Among the good old classics like ollis, shove-its, 180s and 360s, another popular skateboarding trick has just recently been integrated into the relatively young trick-repertoire of riversurfing.

After some 50 attempts, Tao Schirrmacher landed the first 360 shove-it at Munich’s Eisbach. Some claim that it’s the first ever landed 360 shove-it on a surfboard. Even though this is a daring statement, it may well be the first time this trick was successfully landed on a standing wave in a river.

Tricks like these are highly technical — they are gradually pushing the limits of riversurfing to a new level and inspire numerous other riversurfers out there. We hope that we’ll see more first-class tricks like this one in the next couple of months — Season 2013 has only just begun!
