Eisbach Veteran Wolfrik “Kirflow” Fischer

Each river surfing community has its own charismatic characters. One of the local dinosaurs at the Eisbach wave is Wolfrik Fischer. Wolfrik has been surfing the Eisbach since 1976, is the spokesman of Munich’s river surfing association (IGSM) and the founder of Driftwood Fins, the most popular (center) fin among local surfers.

Our friend Fin Vogel from Pye Productions met up with Wolfrik for a beer and a chat and here it is: The clip that you’ve been waiting for to learn more about the birthplace of our sport. Unless you already know what “Brettl-Rutschn” means, you got to find out.
