Surfing Birs River

Massive rainfalls have recently resulted in a wave in the river Birs, Basel (Switzerland). The wave heavily depends on rare and specific flow conditions and is thus only surfable a couple of days each year. A few days back, Birs Wave was surfable around December 26, 2013 — the footage above is from December 2012.
