River Surfing Bratislava

Facebook Blog about Bratislavas Water Park Wave (Divoka Voda Cunovo). Unfortunately, it is written almost exclusively in Slovakian. It’s still worth checking out — use an online translation tool if required.

The wave at Cunovo is the world’s first artificial wave in streaming waters. Compared to standard wave pools, which consume a lot of energy and require for huge pumps and engines this construction is powered only be the natural force of steaming water. The combination of Austrian and Slovakian engineering know-how and more than two years of development resulted in this construction which has set new standards in river surfing.

Phil was forced to surf the river Mur in Graz / Austria for the first time in 2009 (by PhilB). It was love at first sight. Later they got married. Things have been going downhill ever since. But now Riverbreak has arrived!
