Derek Rabelo Surfing the Eisbach

While touring Europe with his movie Beyond Sight, Derek got a day off to surf the Eisbach River Wave in Munich. Derek was born blind but that did not stop him from his dream to surf.

Derek has already managed to surf Pipeline and Kelly’s River Wave at the 2014 Payette River Games. Now he took his river surfing experience one step further when surfing the Eisbach, one of the most popular river waves. Huge respect goes out to the Eisbach locals for making this adventurous ride possible and sharing the love of river surfing with all of us. We hope that Derek’s story will encourage and inspire the entire river surfing community. ALOHA!
